SHOWERING & BATHING

You can take in more chlorine in one shower or bath than you would get from drinking chlorinated water for two days. The skin absorbs it like a sponge. Further, significant carcinogenic trihalomethanes (THM's), such as cholorform, are breathed in from the steam. Purify your shower & bath water!

KDF is very effective in a shower filter. Unlike carbon, it is not harmed by hot water. Carbon in a shower filter has a shortened life.

A PROBLEM WITH PURIFICATION

The main problem with purification is the extended use of purifying media beyond its thorough effectiveness. Any of the various media eventually wear out or get saturated or clogged with impurities. These need replaced depending on the amount and quality of water that pass through them. Many people overlook timely replacement, and water quality can become worse than without the purifier.

KDF and carbon in combination maintain their effectiveness longer than other media.

This pure, high- pressure solid carbon will remove particles down to .2 microns, eliminating even the smaller bacteria that could get through the .4 micron screening of a ceramic filter.

NOTE: For those on fluoridated city water, we have special "Heavy Duty" cartridges with "Alumina" added, which more thoroughly eliminates fluoride.

We also make available a unique countertop reverse osmosis unit which attaches directly to the faucet. With this small system there is no holding tank in which mold can grow.
