NOTE: Our primary kitchen cartridges contain both redox media (eg., KDF), a relatively expensive substance, and Granular Activated Carbon from coconut shells. These cartridges have plenty of GAC, and the SUBSTANTIAL amount of redox media needed to do a thorough job. There are other brands, some with the same kind of housing as ours, that contain only a small amount of redox so they may say they have it. These will do a lesser job for a shorter time than ours.
Our dual and triple units also have a solid carbon block cartridge following the primary cartridge, which screens down to .2 micron for more thorough screening of particulate matter and bacteria, and extended removal of organic toxins such as pesticides, with the additional carbon.
